It started in 1994. Curtis came from outside of Milwaukee Wisconsin, to go into Chicago for warehouse raves. With his roots in Chicago Acid House, he arrived on the New York and New Jersey rave scene in 1994.

Curtis made his mark there as K-Roots smart bar. Doing smart bars for Local 13, Columns of Knowledge, the one love parties, Vinyl(Home, Flux old NASA), and big raves like Freaky, Funky, Lucky Charm, Ritual, Winter Wonderland, and many more.

Curtis could be seen at many weekly parties and raves. Curtis could be found frequenting clubs such as Shelter, palladium, bat-cave aka One Love, Konkret Jungle, Twilo NYC, Camo, Carbon, Pyramid Club, the Roxy and many more. In 1996 Curtis started producing music and has done so ever since.
